With more than 22 years of experience in the insurance industry, Leigh Moss brings extensive knowledge from both the insurer and broking sides of the business. Having spent 15 years working for insurers across underwriting, business development, process management and digital solutions, followed by seven years in broking, Leigh has a well-rounded understanding of the industry and what it takes to achieve the right outcome for clients.
Leigh specialises in commercial insurance for businesses of all sizes, with particular expertise in transport and plant insurance following eight years with NTI, Australia’s largest transport insurer. His approach is centred on helping clients navigate what can often be a complicated and frustrating part of running a business, while maximising their coverage and keeping costs under control.

Originally from Victoria, Leigh moved to Queensland in 2009 and has loved it ever since. Outside of work, he is a busy father of four, and when he gets some downtime, you’ll usually find him playing Fortnite — a hobby he originally picked up with his kids and apparently never gave back.

In early 2016, I purchased my second heavy prime mover, KW T604, a great move, but I struggled paying for these major accquisitions, against my cash flow. In early 2018, I wanted to purchase my 3rd heavy prime mover, KW K200 BIG CAB, and went down the road of equipment finance applications. I purchased the K200 via a major Melbourne KW Dealer, who tried to steer me in the direction of PACCAR finance. This was NOT a pleasant or easy experience whatsoever, the broker wanting me to jump through hoops I definitely wasn't comfortable with. At the same time, I was referred to 2 other financial brokerages, one of which was through my accountant. However, I decided to source one of my own finance group major players, independantly of all other intetested parties. I chose QPF from my Facebook account. So glad I did, because from that day, I met Katelyn Barnett of QPF, my personal and business life took a turn for the best it could posdibly be. The style and manner in which she conducted, not only herself, as a representative of QPF, but as a professional in her own right, savvy to industry terminology, aware of current trends, up to date with the latest in financial applications, and just so damn personable and easy to deal with. Nothing was ever too much or too difficult, never any problems, just challenges which were solved as a matter of course. The speed and depth of knowledge from Katelyn never ceased to amaze me, and there was always a response or an answer, I was never left hanging. Katelyn and QPF always came up with the goods, and did the right thing by me, as I always compared active finance applications in real time, by applying to more than just one broker. Katelyn always came through, and inevitably was always prompt professional, correct and first. I chose Katelyn and QPF every time, even over my accountant's recommendations. I have since purchased a fourth heavy prime mover, KW K108, and 2 light vehicles recently, with the exact same level of experience and sense of achievment, as I first experienced. Ttionhe ride, the journey, the relationship has only got better over time. I would thouroughly and whole heartedly recommend travelling down the exact same road I have travelled, in this journey, supported by Katelyn and QPF, for ease of finance and purchase of equipment, tailored to your type and style of business, not to mention youe cash flow requirements. In summary, I have never looked back, the experience only gets better. And now I am also dealing in multi aspect insurances, with QPF, the best outcome I have ever had in over 30 years of insurances. It started out with "Hey Troy, what if I told you we needed finance on a new Volkswagon Crafter?"...……..his reply? "leave it with me mate, no problem"...………& it wasn't, 3 days later we were approved & took delivery of our new van literally three months after purchasing our new truck through QPF, once again we were delivered silver service, not only on our finance, but also insurance for both Vehicles.
