Before joining the family business, Mark Crain set out to gain experience on his own terms. After completing his International Business degree, he held roles at NAB and Mercedes-Benz Finance, working across Brisbane, Sydney, and Auckland. His early career also took him to Germany, Singapore, and Dubai—broadening his global perspective and deepening his understanding of international finance.
In 2008, Mark brought that knowledge and ambition to QPF. Since then, he’s played a key role in shaping the company’s strategic growth—establishing national vendor and financier partnerships, driving innovation in marketing, and supporting major acquisitions across the Group.
Mark also plays an integral role in QPF’s broader growth roadmap, leading key mergers and acquisitions across the Group. He has been instrumental in several milestone transactions, including QPF’s merger with ASX-listed COG Financial Services Limited (ASX: COG) and the acquisitions of Allied Finance (WA), DLV Finance (QLD), Access Capital (SA) and Chevron Finance (QLD). Mark has also sat on the board of COG Financial Services as an Executive Director since 2019.
His ability to identify opportunities, nurture strategic relationships, and drive scalable growth has helped QPF evolve from a family-run brokerage into a national force in finance.
With a commercial mindset and a focus on long-term value, Mark blends strategy with hands-on execution ensuring QPF remains at the forefront of the industry while staying true to its family business roots.
